Schmematic and how to replace the OBD connector for VCT2000
VCT2000 is a volvo can bus interface, that can be used with VADIS & VIDA software, for vehicle diagnostic.
After many years of garage use, the OBD connector can become degraded (covered with oxidatation and dirt)
resulting in poor connection to the vehicle, causing VADIS/VIDA softweare to loose communication.

I often had "no communicatoin with vehicle" errors from VADIS. Sometimes I was lucky and could communicate for several minutes with the car,
but then suddenly VADIS would complain about loss of communication.
I decided to try and change the OBD connector, because it looked very "black" on the pins.
Yes! Indeed, after replacing the OBD connector I have had 100% success rate.
picure showing hte parts of the VCT2000. the connector to replace is the one pn the left,
i.e. the OBD connector(that connects to the car)
I've drawn the pin layout describing the colouring inside the OBD connector and its relation to the pins inside the "VCT comm interface"
obd_pins.pdf
The left side are pin numbers from 1-20 inside the "VCT comm interface"
The right side are pin numbers from 1-16 inside the OBD connector.
